in life, we have been told to “live in the moment”, to listen more and talk less, to be of service to others, that it is better to give than to receive. these are are all noble pursuits, things of value. but when some people think about being a submissive to another, they balk. how could you demean yourself in that way? especially in our empowered post ’70’s feminist culture. as a woman you should be self-sufficient, strong and capable. but what some fail to grasp is that as women, we can be both strong and soft. i can go toe to toe with just about anyone in an argument. but i can also make a conscious decision to have one person in my life that i trust with everything i have, one whom i have a deep desire and need to just “be” with. one who i can deny…
